[音樂推薦] Savage Garden – Two Beds and a Coffee Machine

久違的每日推歌回來了，不曉得有沒有人偷偷在期待這個偽專欄呢！（自以為）

之後會轉向英日文混搭（英文為主）的推薦歌，還請大家繼續指教^^"

 

重新開張的第一首歌，當然是我honey！:)

這是Darren Hayes還在Savage Garden時的作品。光聽旋律，會以為這是一首甜美的情歌。

是的，當初我也是這麼想的。

但這首歌的歌詞，其實承載了非常強烈的絕望與無助。每次聽都泫然欲泣。

很喜歡Savage Garden用溫和的開場處理這種心碎。

不是刻意渲染，只是輕輕的說道，"And she takes another step. Slowly she opens the door. Check that he is sleeping."

當聽眾還在疑惑時，Darren淡淡的唱著："Pick up all the broken glass and furniture on the floor."　（將地板上所有的碎玻璃和傢俱收拾乾淨。）

我們終於明白，為何「她」要離開那半夜的叫喊聲，在黑夜中獨自一人駕著車，帶著孩子向茫然的遠方前行。

又是一樁家暴悲劇。

副歌的旋律其實不特別悲痛，但會帶著人往情緒裡走。"Another ditch in the road.

You keep moving. Another stop sign. You keep moving on. And the years go by so fast. Wonder how I ever made it through."

如果要活下去，人始終要前進，為自己尋覓真正的歸處。

歌曲中堅強的母親（或許只是為著活下去而離開），想到"And there are children to think of. Baby’s asleep in the backseat." 

她也許也會害怕，孩子長大後，會否像他們的父親一樣，棄昔日恩愛如敝屣，任暴力揮落所有燦爛。

 

在淡淡的旋律中，她想起過去也曾"Full of candy dreams and new toys and another cheap hotel."擁有簡單的"Two beds and a coffee machine."

一切曾經美好，但如今什麼都碎了。

然而她仍需要找到一個家。為了孩子，為了她自己。

“Another bruise to try and hide. Another alibi to write. Another lonely highway in the black of night."　

未來是一片沉滯。一切陷入絕望，又是一條漆黑而孤獨的長路。

但Darren在導歌中提醒我們，"But there’s hope in the darkness."

黑暗中仍有希望。

“You know you’re going to make it."

 

以此獻給所有仍在黑暗中奮鬥的夥伴。

世界上總有人知道你的苦難。

千萬不要放棄；一定會有光明來到。

但在此之前，請堅強走過那條孤單的長路。加油。
